GUARDIANSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Haven't heard of a guardian program? We'd be happy to explain!

While lots of breeders offer something along the lines of a "guardian program", the do differ greatly to some extent. So this is the gist of ours.

Guardian homes are where an amazing local-ish person (Usually a current Homegrown client, family member, or trusted friend) raises a pup as their own, but they will come back to us for breeding. This allows us to keep doing what we love, without having to hog all the pups for ourselves! We regularly have placement opportunities for both males and females in guardian homes, and options for every lifestyle. There is a small program fee associated with this option. However, it is very reasonable - and far less than the purchase of a puppy would be, because everyone needs a Frenchie right? Ultimately, guardianship allows a pup to be a spoiled rotten pet by their family for their entire lives, and even allows them to witness the beauty of pregnancy, without taking on the responsibility of breeding themselves. It also saves us from having to re-home them as adults after retirement, like a lot of breeders do.

(NOTE: Our in house program dogs retire with us after they have finished their breeding careers and our guardian dogs stay with their guardian families.)

We do require our guardians to be within a certain distance of our home. This is because we like to have them over regularly so they remain comfortable with us, our dogs, and our home.
